I attended the "ecofeminism" festival held in Budapest on 14.05.2022-15.05.2022.
During the festival, I had the opportunity to meet and chat with members of the LGBT community.
This experience has been a very good experience in terms of understanding their life better and putting myself in their shoes.
On the first day of the festival, we held different workshops. We made a lot of compost; we made smoothies with the help of bicycles using energy-free methods. Then, in the book club negotiation group, we had a discussion about the chapter of the book we read in half an hour.
I joined dance therapy after the book club and it was one of the most interesting experiences of my life. I learned how to dance with random dance figures. At the end of the night, a movie night was held.
On the second day of the festival, we also had some workshops. For example, we made lemonade using only fermented lemon, sugar and other ingredients.
I attended a therapy where we took some pictures to express ourselves. Afterwards, we took a picture of the plant we found closest to ourselves in the garden where the festival was held and told its story to the others. One of the best parts of the festival was that people donated their clothes they no longer use. And then we had our free haircutting session 😊
We tried to make soup on the stove with local Hungarian people and it tasted amazing. The people gathered around the hearth sang and danced and the night ended very well.
