Making Kimchi

The past few months there has been a few workshops on the topic of fermentation here at Szatyor and we have been able to join. However it was always tricky for it to be both in Hungarian and English. 

So this week Mathilde hosted a Kimchi workshop just for us. 

At first we talked about fermented foods in general and what their benefits are. Whether it is preserving food, making it healthier and more nutritious or just discovering new flavors, fermentation has a lot to offer! 

In the workshop we split in teams that prepared the cabbage, the vegetables and the marinade. And in the end we got our hands dirty mixing it all together and filling the jars. 

We are very excited to try the finished product in a few days!
