On December 13th we kept on exploring cooking together but this time in a very celebratory way. Celebrating Santa Lucia together, sharing about holiday foods in our various countries but also celebrating the time spent together.
Given that two of our volunteer's volunteering experiences are coming to an end we looked back at their time here in Hungary and shared memories of special moments spent together.
We shared a festive vegetarian meal prepared together and made of a sweet and salty red cabbage salad, roasted squash and beetroot, garlicky spinach and goat cheese stuffed polenta. It was delicious!
For the dessert we embraced intercultural Santa Lucia traditions by baking some Swedish saffron and cardamom buns.
It was an amazing we to get into the Christmas spirit and welcome back one of our former volunteers who came to visit :)
